On my trip to Escalante, Utah this past year, Marnee Banks and I, along with my father, checked out Bryce Canyon National park. I normally drive right past this tourist destination, but Marnee had never seen the red spectacle. We decided to do a short day hike starting at Sunset Point and ending at Sunrise Point. It took us roughly 2 hours, including the wait that happens when throngs of people try to squeeze through the same narrow spaces at the same time. As photo guy, if I was patient enough, I was still able to manage shots void of bodies.

Around every bend there are wonderful photo subjects.

You would think with me being a professional photographer, I could figure out how to pose my father.

How this tree grew here is a mystery.
